He was really keen to walk around the place so we did a tour of the front yard - stopping in at the office and saying hi to Tracey.
Then we jumped up the steep bank to avoid the stones and then out the gate and up the road. Keeping in mind my new rule I was really calm.

The dogs used to appear from behind those palm trees on the right hand side. But this time we went past the neighbours new geese, hens and ducks - which ha hadn't seen before - and he didn't bat an eyelid.
We got to the sheep and the farmers dogs (many) all started barking so I got off.... then I led him for a bit and then I got on from the fence again - he was so good and pushed up against the fence so I cold get on.

Dogs are a real pain in the ass, eh! We get them running and barking at us around the woods. I manage to stay calm more easily each time and that has transferred to Breeze and Sandra lol.
When I get to start c/s riding I will be prepared to whack any dog that gets too close! B seems to be good at giving them dirty looks and the run away lol.
Big accomplishment, great photos V. Well done. You inspired me to push my comfort zone boundaries. x
Finally, I caught up with your blog after being gone for the last couple weeks. Looks like you had some really cool play session. That's awesome! Also, I love all the pictures. It soooo pretty where you live. So green!!!!

thanks Petra - it's very green this year - normally we are still all brown and drought like about now... it's been wonderful to have a little rain this summer (every now and again)....
yeah Cilla - Dogs are a right royal pain in the arse!! Great idea about taking the carrot stick but it's the ones that sneak out from under bushes just as they bark that spook G - but he would chase them definitely if he had the chance....
Great pics as usual!! Thats great you had such a lovely ride - you are making so much progress....
I know what may seem like 'little' things to other people are big things for us - right there with you!
Keep having fun and catch up soon...
